Mary graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and reported to Pensacola, FL to become a Naval Aviator. Follow on tours included VT-2 and HT-18. Upon earning her wings, Mary was off to fly the H-46. First stop HC-3 in San Diego and then on to HC-5 in Guam. Mary participated in numerous deployments including Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. She spent many months at sea during her three year tour with HC-5. Mary’s next assignment was back to the Pensacola area as a Navy instructor pilot at HT-18. Mary finished her military obligation in Pensacola and followed her husband Reed (P-3 pilot) to his next duty assignment in Norfolk. They then returned to Pensacola and started setting up roots. Shortly after getting out of the Navy, Mary became a Realtor. Mary’s time in the Navy has provided her with a solid work ethic and an attention to detail on which her real estate career has been built.
